About the G-Mark Certification Scheme
The Gulf Mark (G-Mark) indicates that a product is regulated under the Gulf Technical Regulation for Children's Toys and Low Voltage Electrical (LVE) Equipment and Appliances. Specifically, the scheme aims to ensure that products imported into the GCC countries - which include Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Yemen - meet the essential health, safety and environmental requirements of the region.
About the GSO
The Gulf Standards Organization (GSO) is a Regional Standardization Organization (RSO) which serves to unify the standardization activities of GCC member states. The organization also aims to develop the GCC's production and service sectors while fostering trade within the region as well as protecting consumer health and the environment.
The Gulf Mark Scheme is a GSO conformity assessment programme that guides the verification process for regulated products.
