The Saudi Organization for Standardization, Metrology and Quality (SASO) has announced an update regarding the SASO IECEE Recognition Certificate (SIRC).
SASO has announced that as of 1st of July 2021, the following new products will need a mandatory SASO IECEE Recognition Certificate (SIRC):
- Coffee makers and coffee making machines
- Electrical cables
- Electrical oil fryers
- Electric water kettle
- Video games (and accessories)
- Water pumps (with 5 hp and less)
As a reminder, the below items already require a mandatory IECEE Certificate:
- Bluetooth headsets
- Computers and laptops
- Dishwashers
- Electronic smoking products
- Lighting products
- Mobile phones and tablets
- Mobile phone batteries and power banks
- Mobile phone chargers and parts
- Smart watches, smart bands
- Solar photovoltaic products
- Televisions, monitors and display sets
- Water pumps
