Explore SASO’s conformity assessment program and the certificates related to the programme

Under the SASO (Saudi Arabian Standards Organization) conformity assessment program, several certificates can be issued depending on the type of product and the level of conformity assessment required. Some of the most common certificates issued under the SASO program include:

Product Certificate (PCOC):

The Product Certificate of Conformity (PCOC) is required to demonstrate that your products have been registered within SABER and are complaint with applicable Technical Regulations. The PCOC is valid for one year upon issuance.

Shipment Certificate (SCOC):

This is a certificate that can be obtained only if the PCOC registration has been completed. However, an SCOC is required for customs clearance for each shipment. It is the importer’s responsibility to initiate the process of obtaining an SCOC.

Energy Efficiency Certificate (EEC):

This certificate is issued for products that are subject to Saudi Arabia's energy efficiency regulations, such as air conditioners, refrigerators, and lighting products. The EEC confirms that the product meets the energy efficiency requirements of Saudi Arabia.
