If you are a Saudi cosmetics importer or manufacturer, as of 30th March 2023, you will now need to register & renew your products’ licenses on GHAD notification system instead of eCosma.
SFDA has announced that all Saudi cosmetics importers and manufacturers will need to open a commercial account at GHAD notification system instead of eCosma before April 2023.
In December 2019, the unified electronic system (GHAD) was rolled out by The Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA) initially as a single registration platform for all medical device market authorization. As of end of March, it will also include all cosmetics products.
This new cosmetics product registration process will be implemented as of 30th March 2023. Therefore, to ensure business continuity without interruption, Cotecna is advising all importers and manufacturers of cosmetic products to start as soon as possible to apply for the creation of an account in the GHAD system.
