SASO Implements SABER Photo Requirement for Non-Regulated Products

  • 10/10/2022

SASO has implemented a mandatory photo requirement for non-regulated products exported to Saudi Arabia.

As of the 15th of December 2022, non-regulated commercial products exported to Saudi Arabia will now require product photos. According to SASO (Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization), the photos must be uploaded on the SABER platform.

This requirement is based on a recent SASO update as per a circular and LinkedIn post shared by the regulatory body. Please note, importers of non-regulated commercial products will not be issued a SCOC without first uploading the mandatory product photos.

To meet SASO requirements, exporters must follow these guidelines:

1. Upload 3-5 product photos, including:

  • Front image of the product
  • Label image, if applicable
  • Trademark image

2. Acceptable file format for upload:

  • JPG
  • JPEG
  • PNG
  • PDF
  • DOC
  • DOCX

  2. Click Added Products
  3. Choose your product and click the options
  4. Click Edit Product Data
